The Department of School Education, Government of Telangana, has announced the structure for the Telangana State Teacher Eligibility Test (TS TET) 2025. The exam, scheduled for next year, aims to assess the eligibility of candidates seeking teaching positions in the state's schools for classes 1 to 8.

The TS TET 2025 consists of two papers: Paper 1 for Classes 1 to 5 and Paper 2 for classes 6 to 8. Each paper contains 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), with each question carrying one mark, making a total of 150 marks per paper. The duration of each paper is 2 hours and 30 minutes. Notably, there is no negative marking for wrong answers.

The question papers will be bilingual, with English and the candidate's chosen Language-I (such as Telugu, Urdu, Hindi, Kannada, Marathi, or Tamil). For candidates choosing Sanskrit, the paper will be in Telugu followed by Sanskrit in Devanagari script.

The question types comprise objective MCQs distributed across five sections:

1. Child Development and Pedagogy 2. Language 1 (candidate’s chosen regional language) 3. Language 2 (English for all candidates) 4. Mathematics 5. Environmental Studies

Candidates must score a minimum of 60% marks (90 out of 150) to qualify. There is a relaxation of 5% in qualifying marks for SC/ST/OBC/PH categories.

In TS TET 2025 Paper 2 for Classes 6 to 8, the Mathematics/Science or Social Studies section is worth 60 marks, while the Language II section is worth 30 marks. Each section contains 30 questions.
