A 23-year-old woman from Yakutia was taken to court for forging a high school diploma.
In the Republic of Yakutia, a 23-year-old resident has found themselves in hot water after attempting to enroll in a local educational institution for the specialty "Organization of Transportation and Management on Transport (Railway)". The individual, who did not possess a high school diploma, which is a requirement for admission, managed to secure a forged school diploma through an acquaintance.
The North-Eastern Federal University (NEFU) in Yakutia enrolled the individual in its distance learning faculty, unaware of the deception. However, the criminal case that has since been transferred to court reveals that the individual's application included a fake high school diploma and a fake appendix, submitted to the admissions committee.
The North-Eastern Transport Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia (MVD) was involved in the operational investigative activities leading to the detainment of the suspect. The investigation, conducted entirely in Yakutia, also involved the North-Eastern Transport Department of the MVD of Russia.
The individual had previously been enrolled in a distance learning faculty in Yakutia. They were enrolled in the university's distance learning faculty a year ago, but their detainment and expulsion occurred a year later. The individual's chosen educational institution remains located in Yakutia.
The suspect in the case confessed to their actions, expressing remorse for their deception. The criminal case involves charges related to falsifying high school education documents. The case has now been transferred to the court for further proceedings.
