A substantial number, over 66 thousand, have submitted their job applications at the Almaty Employment Center.

In the city of Almaty, a surge of joblessness during the lockdown saw an unprecedented spike in applications to the Employment Center, with numbers almost doubling. Last year, that number was at a modest 48,000, but in the first eight months of 2020, a staggering 66,000 people sought employment, as reported by Almaty.tv.

The Employment Center is crucial for over 200 people daily seeking employment opportunities. According to experts, the hunt for next year's jobs is already in full swing.

The Employment Center's program invites applicants to register on their website. The program offers a win-win situation for both job seekers and employers: companies shoulder a portion of the salary, while the state picks up the remaining.

Adilet Zhanaev, the head of the department at the city's Employment Center, shed some light, saying, "For public works and youth practice, we offer a 100% payment. For social workplaces, we provide a subsidy for employers. They set the salary, and the state covers 35%."

Perizat Masykhan registered with the Employment Center in 2019 under the "Enbek" program for youth practice. Upon completing her practice at the center, she landed a job as a manager in the department assisting job seekers. A year later, she's still lending her services to help citizens find employment.

"After graduating college as a programming technician in 2019, I came here for practice. After three months, they hired me as a specialist supporting job seekers," Perizat Masykhan shared, expressing gratitude for the steady job.

Almaty is currently running two employment programs simultaneously: the state program "Enbek" for productive employment and mass entrepreneurship (2017-2021) and "Roadmap for Employment 2020". Since the beginning of 2020, over 66,000 citizens have applied to the city's Employment Center. Out of those, approximately 25,000 have secured permanent positions, and over 17,000 have entered temporary positions.

While the exact details of the Almaty Employment Center's program and its benefits remain largely unknown without specific enrichment data, general knowledge suggests it provides access to job listings, career counseling, resume assistance, and potentially training or skill development programs, accelerating the job-finding process for individuals while streamlining the recruitment process for employers, consequently increasing the quality of hires and boosting the overall hiring efficiency.
