Allica Bank commemorates its fifth year in the broker market by unveiling a fresh educational initiative.

Allica Bank, a leading UK lender, has announced a new initiative to celebrate its five-year partnership with brokers and support the growth of established businesses across the country. The Allica Bank Broker Programme, set to launch in September 2025, is a five-year milestone initiative that aims to enhance broker expertise, acknowledge the broker channel's vital role, and provide practical support for brokers to grow their businesses.

In a statement, Michael Mann, Broker Business Development Director at Allica Bank, said, "The broker program was developed in collaboration with brokers for practical support, real-world insight, and opportunities." The programme will fund 50 places on a Level 3 Certified Practitioner in Specialist Property Finance course delivered by the Walbrook Institute of London, forming the centrepiece of a broader package that includes additional training like asset finance, market updates, and specialist finance webinars.

The programme will benefit both brokers and the UK's established business community by enhancing broker expertise, acknowledging and strengthening the broker channel, providing practical support, and demonstrating Allica’s commitment to supporting brokers and established businesses long term.

Dominic Williams at ASC Finance for Business and Rosalia Lazzara, CEO of Manuka Media, have praised Allica Bank for its supportive approach towards brokers over the past five years. Allica Bank has surpassed £3 billion in total lending and has partnered with the Walbrook Institute of London for the specialist property finance course.

The new programme will also deliver a series of asset finance training events focused on financial analysis skills, a social media webinar led by Rosalia Lazzara from Manuka Media, and a market update led by renowned economist Trevor Williams. Allica Bank is gold sponsoring the Specialist Finance Academy, further demonstrating its commitment to the broker community.

Nick Baker, Chief Commercial Officer at Allica Bank, expressed appreciation for the broker community's role in the bank's success. "The broker community has played a critical role in Allica's success, with 90% of brokers rating their overall experience with the bank as 'Excellent' or 'Good' in a recent survey," he said.

The Allica Bank Broker Programme reflects the bank's recognition of brokers' critical role in accessing finance for SMEs and its intention to invest in their professional development, thereby indirectly supporting the wider UK business community by improving broker capabilities and service quality.

Allica Bank initially launched in 2020 with a commercial mortgage proposition available exclusively through brokers. In January 2021, Allica Bank added asset finance to its offerings, and in 2023, it introduced a growth finance proposition. The bank also acquired bridging lender Tuscan in August 2024.

This initiative is a testament to Allica Bank's ongoing commitment to supporting the UK's established business community and brokers. For more information about the Allica Bank Broker Programme, visit www.allicabank.co.uk.
