Frankfurt Resident Suffers Trick Theft at the Hands of Impersonators

A 77-year-old man in Frankfurt am Main fell victim to a trick theft between September 1 and 4, 2025. The crime took place at his residence on Berger Straße.

The perpetrators posed as police officers, claiming that unauthorized money had been withdrawn from the victim's account. They managed to trick him into withdrawing cash and handing it over, as well as his EC card. The perpetrators also obtained the victim's PIN by unknown means.

One of the perpetrators is described as a male, of middle European appearance, approximately 20 years old, and standing between 175cm and 180 cm tall.
