AWS Launches Space Accelerator: APJ 2025 for Asia Pacific Startups

AWS has launched the AWS Space Accelerator: APJ 2025, a 10-week program supporting space technology startups in Asia Pacific and Japan. The accelerator, delivered in collaboration with AWS partners and leading space organizations, aims to provide up to 40 selected startups with business resources, technology expertise, and guidance to leverage AWS.

The accelerator seeks startups innovating in areas such as Earth observation, space infrastructure, and drone technology. It is open to space-sector startups at all stages based in Australia, New Zealand, India, or Japan. Applications for the AWS Space Accelerator: APJ will be open from July 8, 2025 to September 5, 2025. Selected startups will receive up to $100,000 in AWS credits, technical guidance, business coaching, and access to industry leaders. The accelerator helps startups reduce risks by enabling them to build and test solutions using AWS technologies before major capital investments. The program will culminate in a demo day in December 2025.

The space sector is experiencing significant growth in Japan and India, with projected values of $26 billion and $44 billion by 2033, respectively. The AWS Space Accelerator: APJ 2025 is a part of AWS's commitment to supporting the growth and innovation in the space sector.
