Beer Mats Spark Democracy Talks in Luenen
In a bid to foster a diverse and democratic society, 'Partnership for Democracy Luenen' has launched an innovative project using beer mats to spark discussions on democratic values and social cohesion. Supported by the federal program 'Democracy lives!', the initiative aims to strengthen democratic values through creative means.
The project, coordinated by the AWO Ruhr-Lippe-Ems office, saw beer mats designed by 'Lifelong Learning' students from the University of Muenster, distributed in public facilities and event venues across Luenen. The mats, themed around democracy, serve as prompts for conversations and reflections on its principles.
Stefan Wrazidlo from the AWO office is the point of contact for interested parties. The project group, led by Horst Engel and Christa Damschen, has been instrumental in promoting democracy through this unique medium. Applications for further individual measures are welcome until October 5.
'Partnership for Democracy Luenen', funded by the Federal Ministry for Family, Senior Citizens, Women, and Youth, continues to support projects and initiatives that strengthen democratic values and social cohesion. For more information, visit www.our-website/democracy-lives.
