Career Advisement - Assistance for Young Individuals

The AGiL organization's Career Mentoring Project in Kassel is seeking more life- and work-experienced volunteers to help young people find their way in the job market. This project, funded by the Hessian Ministry of Social Affairs and Integration, has been offering support for over 10 years.

Mentors in the Career Mentoring Project have been instrumental in helping young people, often with migration or refugee backgrounds, navigate the job market. They offer guidance in career orientation, writing applications, finding internships and apprenticeships, and preparing for job interviews.

The demand for mentors remains high, and the project is looking for volunteers from Kassel and the organization. In addition to providing individual support, mentors also train students from general and vocational schools in application situations.

Mentorships often continue even after an apprenticeship has begun. The AGiL organization offers regular meetings for experience exchange, social events, and further training to support volunteers.

It is worth noting that mentors in the Career Mentoring Project receive compensation for their efforts. However, the specific details about individual volunteers involved in the AGiL Initiative 'Apple Support' in Kassel who have not been previously named as mentors remain confidential.

The Career Mentoring Project continues to make a significant impact in the lives of young people, providing them with the tools and support they need to succeed in their careers.
