Civil Registry Clarifies Process for Adding Academic Degrees
In a recent announcement, the civil registry has clarified the process for adding academic degrees to one's civil status. The process requires the submission of specific documents within a set timeframe.
Applicants must submit their own documents, with no exceptions for representatives. The required documents include a copy of the civil ID, a certified academic certificate, and an equivalency certificate if the degree is from a private school or outside Kuwait. The graduation date must fall within the announced registration period. For full academic stage certificates, an equivalency certificate is required if the degree is from a private school. For diplomas, bachelor's, and doctoral degrees, a transcript is also needed. Job applicants must add their academic certificates before nomination to avoid cancellation. Those already nominated must cancel their nomination before adding a certificate.
The decision covers full academic stage certificates, diplomas, bachelor's degrees, and doctoral degrees. Applicants are advised to check with their local civil registry for specific requirements, as they may vary by region.
