CNRS Alumni Network Grows to 800 Members, Aims for Global Influence
The first 'Fête des Alumni' event, held on September 26, 2025, marked a significant milestone for the CNRS alumni network. Nearly 60 people attended, setting the stage for new initiatives. Launched in early 2025, the network now boasts nearly 800 members, with a strong international presence and ambitious plans for growth.
The network's international focus is evident, with eleven CNRS offices outside France serving as hubs for identifying and connecting alumni communities. By the end of the year, the platform will be fully available in English, catering to alumni abroad with tailored formats.
Strategic ambitions include maintaining lasting ties with CNRS alumni, building a pool of skills, and asserting scientific, societal, and international influence. The network aims to bolster connections with diplomatic networks, 'France Alumni', and postdoctoral researcher associations, setting up international meetings and events. Locally, it seeks to strengthen activities in dynamic areas outside the Île-de-France region, such as Lyon, Grenoble, and Toulouse.
