Construction initiates on the expansive Goetheschule development in Neu-Isenburg

The Goethe School in Neu-Isenburg is set for a significant expansion, with the county of Offenbach investing approximately 15 million euros into the project. The school, which is a six-form grammar school with 36 classes, currently has over 1,250 students in attendance.

The expansion will see the construction of a new building, containing twelve classrooms across two floors. Eleven of these classrooms will be general classrooms, while one will be dedicated to the subject "Performing Arts". The new building will also house a modern cafeteria with 150 seats and ancillary rooms.

The planning for the expansion allows for a later expansion of the building in the northern direction. Sustainable methods will be employed in the construction process, with exposed concrete, a wooden structure, and a thermal insulation composite system being used.

Outdoor facilities will also be reorganized and improved, with barrier-free access, fire service access road adaptations, and optimized deliveries for the school cafeteria all part of the plans. The outdoor facilities will also see the addition of a Calisthenics facility, additional football goals, a Teqball plate, and covered seating areas for student leisure and movement opportunities.

To cater to the growing number of students and staff, 25 bus parking spaces and 13 parking spaces for teaching staff are planned, with some of these parking spaces equipped with charging stations for electric vehicles. The project will also include the installation of photovoltaic systems on the flat roof of the new building to supply the school's air-source heat pumps with electricity.

The completion of the new building at the Goethe School is planned for November 2026. However, it is important to note that as of up to 2025, there are no publicly available official documents or news specifically detailing the Goethe School Neu-Isenburg expansion project parameters. For precise and current information, it is recommended to consult the official website or press releases of the Goethe School in Neu-Isenburg, the local Neu-Isenburg city council or school board announcements, or regional news sources covering educational infrastructure projects in Neu-Isenburg.

During the expansion of the Goethe School in Neu-Isenburg, students will have the opportunity to engage in education-and-self-development initiatives in their free time. The new building, equipped with a modern cafeteria and ancillary rooms, will cater to this need, offering a dedicated space for various activities.
