Customs Officers Gain Insights at Disability Workshop in 'Shift Change' Action

Today, customs officers from Potsdam's main customs office gained valuable insights into the workings of the DRK Behindertenwerkstätten Potsdam gGmbH's workshop for people with disabilities. This exchange took place as part of the nationwide action day 'Shift Change', where individuals with and without disabilities swap workplaces to foster understanding and inclusion.

The main customs office in Potsdam has been actively participating in 'Shift Change' for several years, with 19 such offices involved this year. Dr. Armin Rolfink, President of the General Customs Administration, visited the workshop to observe the employees at work. He emphasized that inclusion is a natural and integral part of customs. In the coming days, employees from the participating workshops will visit customs offices for a return visit, further promoting understanding and cooperation.

The 'Shift Change' action day has successfully facilitated a mutual exchange between customs officers and employees of workshops for people with disabilities. This initiative not only promotes understanding but also actively practices inclusion, as highlighted by Dr. Armin Rolfink.
