Dresden's Tech Scene to Boom with ExciteLab Accelerator Launch

Dresden's tech scene is poised to flourish with the upcoming launch of ExciteLab, a new six-month accelerator program commencing in October 2024. Applications are open until August 27, 2024, presenting high-tech startups with an opportunity to grow and innovate in the heart of Germany's high-tech sector.

ExciteLab, a collaboration between Leipzig SpinLab and the Technical University of Dresden, is designed to support and promote high-tech startups in the region. The program offers one-on-one mentoring, access to startup communities, pilot programs, and industry events. It also provides funding of at least 6,000 euros to help startups grow.

The accelerator focuses on key technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), semiconductors, robotics, sensors, and quantum computing. By supporting startups in these areas, ExciteLab aims to enhance Dresden's attractiveness and visibility for international talents and investors. The program is part of TUD|excite, the excellence center for innovation, transfer, and entrepreneurship of the TU Dresden.

ExciteLab is backed by leading companies such as Infineon, Mazars, and ZEISS, who provide expertise and regional knowledge to support the startups. The opening of ExciteLab further solidifies Dresden's position as a leading high-tech industry hub in Germany.

The new ExciteLab accelerator program is a significant milestone in Dresden's development as an economic and innovation center. With its focus on high-tech startups and key technologies, the program is set to boost the region's attractiveness and visibility on the global stage.
