In the heart of Astana, Kazakhstan, a group of young enthusiasts recently embarked on an exciting eco-adventure, thanks to the Global Green Hub and the support of the city akimat. This event was part of the "Taza Kazakhstan" campaign, a nationwide initiative aimed at fostering environmental responsibility and care for nature among the population.

The main participants of the day were children, who were eager to learn and make a difference. One of the youngest participants, Daulet, at the tender age of 5, expressed his ambition to become an eco-engineer in the future. Another young participant, Alina, showcased her innovative thinking by creating a project for a flower that indicates clean air.

The eco-quest was set in the bustling TРЦ Arsenal, where characters named Zara, Mo, and T9 guided the children through a series of ecological tasks. The goal was to inspire the young participants to think like eco-engineers and solve problems related to the environment.

Volunteer Aysyl Ergaliyeva emphasised the importance of events like these, stating that they promote care for nature, waste sorting, tree planting, and responsibility. The "Astana Jastary" Youth Resource Center provided additional volunteers for the eco-event.

According to the organisers, events such as these, combined with state support and civic activity, can make Kazakhstan a leader in the development of ecological thinking. They believe that by raising a new generation of conscious citizens capable of changing the country for the better through ecological initiatives, they are taking a significant step towards a sustainable future.

The Taza Kazakhstan campaign, launched by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, promotes sustainable development through public clean-up efforts, tree-planting drives, digital environmental monitoring, and advanced nature conservation technologies. It encourages community participation in ecological projects and links environmental stewardship with economic development and youth engagement in preserving natural landscapes through innovative tourism ventures.

In Astana, this campaign includes organizing eco-quests and special tours that combine environmental awareness with career guidance in industrial and technological professions. These events introduce young participants to environmental issues and modern eco-friendly technologies while inspiring interest in technical vocations and entrepreneurship related to sustainability.

In summary, the Taza Kazakhstan campaign, through events like the eco-quest in Astana, is nurturing environmental responsibility and interest in green technologies among the younger generation by using interactive, educational activities that combine environmental action with exposure to technological careers and sustainable development initiatives. This holistic approach is a promising step towards a greener and more sustainable future for Kazakhstan.

  1. The young participants were also introduced to a variety of home-and-garden eco-friendly practices, as part of their sustainable-living education during the Astana eco-quest.
  2. As part of their personal-growth journeys, the children were encouraged to embrace learning opportunities in education-and-self-development to become strong advocates for environmental initiatives in the future.
  3. The Taza Kazakhstan campaign extends to promoting green living lifestyles, demonstrating that the ecological perspective can be integrated into everyday home practices, thereby fostering a more sustainable nation.
