Professor Tit Meng Lim, a renowned figure in science education and public engagement, has been appointed as the APAC Regional Executive Director of OceanX Education. This move marks a significant step in OceanX Education's global strategy, reinforcing its presence and commitment to Asia.
With over 30 years of leadership experience in academia, government-linked institutions, and international science networks, Professor Lim brings a wealth of expertise to OceanX Education. Most recently, he served as the Chief Executive of the Science Centre Singapore, where he played a pivotal role in promoting STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) innovation and transforming science learning into vibrant, community-driven experiences. Prior to that, he spent more than two decades at the National University of Singapore, influencing interdisciplinary science curricula and advancing life sciences education.
Based in Singapore, Professor Lim will be responsible for guiding the strategic vision, fostering regional partnerships, and driving organizational development to enhance ocean literacy and environmental engagement throughout the Asia Pacific region.
