The competitive selection process for the 7th grade intake at the Kuban Cossack Cadet Corps of Krasnodar Krai has come to a close, with approximately 300 young residents securing their places. Now, the focus shifts to the recruitment of 10th graders, as the search for the next cohort of cadets begins.

The recruitment and selection process for the prestigious military-focused educational institution is overseen by the Department for Cossack Affairs, Military Issues, and Work with Pre-military Youth in the Krasnodar Krai. The process is known for its rigour, as it involves physical fitness tests, academic performance review, medical examinations, and interviews, much like other Russian cadet corps programs.

The high competition for admission to the Kuban Cossack Cadet Corps is evident, with three applicants vying for each available spot, highlighting the institution's prestigious reputation. The selection commission includes representatives from the Department for Cossack Affairs, the Ministry of Education, and the Kuban Cossack Host.

Candidates for the corps are noted for their high academic preparation in general subjects, as well as their deep interest in the history and culture of the Kuban Cossacks. Many successful applicants are graduates of Cossack schools, representatives of Cossack families, and winners of academic, sports, and creative competitions.

Alexander Tararykin, head of the Department for Cossack Affairs, Military Issues, and Work with Pre-military Youth in the Krasnodar Krai, has acknowledged the high competition for admission, stating that many applicants are from Cossack families and have excelled in various competitions.

As the recruitment process for 10th graders continues, it is expected that the Kuban Cossack Cadet Corps of Krasnodar Krai will continue to attract talented and motivated young residents of Kuban, ready to embark on a journey of military discipline, basic military skills, and patriotic education.
