Looking to join the exciting world of outdoor education? Here's your chance! This 5-day course is perfect for individuals keen to lend a hand in delivering Forest School programs. No need to worry about prerequisites like completing a Level 1 course – you can get straight into any level, provided you meet the entry criteria.

Our experienced Forest School Association (FSA) Registered Forest School Trainers facilitate the Level 2 and Level 3 courses. These trainers have passed the FSA's stage 1 process, ensuring they meet high-quality training standards. This Level 2 course prepares you with the skills to support a Forest School Leader effectively during their sessions. You'll learn about the Forest School approach to learning and fostering a positive attitude towards taking risks.

The course includes practical skills such as safe lighting and campfire management, the use of various hand tools, and games and activities tailored for Forest School settings. Additionally, you'll learn to identify woodland flora and fauna, practicing sustainable woodland use within the context of Forest Schools. You'll witness the Forest School ethos in action through the duration of the course.

Upon completion, you will receive the Level 2 Forest School Assistant qualification, enabling you to support but not lead Forest School sessions independently. The course fee is £620, and a Level 3 qualification is required to lead Forest School sessions.

If you're a school or organization interested in booking multiple places, kindly complete the online booking form here. Read and agree to our terms and conditions, learner agreement, diversity and inclusion policy, students' complaints and appeals procedures while booking.

This course takes place outdoors, and you'll be required to complete a Level 2 workbook within 6 months of the course start date. As part of the coursework, you will need to assist with at least three Forest School sessions run by a Level 3 qualified Forest School Leader, making individual observations and recording your support.

Don't forget, assistance dogs only are allowed for the workshop. If you have limited mobility, feel free to contact the organizer in advance, and specific parking details, wheelchair access information, and facilities will be made available to you.
