Michelle Hunziker Returns to German Television with "Who is it?"

Television presenter Michelle Hunziker, 48, is set to rejoin German television on May 28th as a team captain on the panel show "Who is it?" airing on ProSieben and Joyn at 8:15 PM. She will join Chris Tall, 33, to form a team with various celebrities in five new episodes. The pair will guess unusual traits of previously unknown candidates in a series of rounds.

Hunziker's TV career began in the late 1990s, with several roles in Italian and Swiss television. In 1998, she co-hosted the Golden Camera awards with Thomas Gottschalk, 75. Following her work in the German Film and Television Award and casting show "Germany's Got Talent" on RTL, she became a regular figure in German TV, hosting various shows such as "Superkids," "Superpets," and "Pretty in Plush."

Her return to German television in 2009 saw her co-hosting "Wetten, dass..?" with Thomas Gottschalk, later moving to become the assistant to new host Markus Lanz, 56, in 2013. Beyond moderating, Hunziker also served as a judge on series like "Germany's Got Talent - Kids," "Das Supertalent," and "Big Performance - Who is the Star in the Star?" alongside Guido Maria Kretschmer and Motsi Mabuse.

Michelle Hunziker will replace Ralf Schmitz in season two of "Who is it?", as announced in October 2024, when she joins Chris Tall against a celebrity guest. Hunziker stated in a ProSieben statement that she loves guessing games and relies on her intuition during the show. She expressed her enthusiasm for Germany and her openness to future TV opportunities.

According to recent reports, Hunziker will join Hazel Brugger and Sandra Studer as hosts for the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 final on May 17, 2025, in Basel, Switzerland. This high-profile role highlights her continued prominence in international television following her recent appearance on "Who is it?"
