High school escapade escalates, cash-fueled amusement for scholars nicknamed "Abi-strike"

The graduating class of Eugen-Bolz-Gymnasium in Rottenburg found themselves in an unexpected situation when they used spray paint for a prank on the school building. The incident, which occurred recently, has led to a clean-up operation that the students are now responsible for during their summer holidays.

Principal Andreas Greis believes the spray action was an accident, and the students have admitted their mistake and taken action to clean up the mess. The clean-up process, which started on Monday, involves scraping, painting, and tearing off the dried paint. To aid in the process, a professional painter and his employee have assisted the students, and the city provided five buckets of paint for the task.

The clean-up process has been taking place under high temperatures, making the task more challenging. However, the students, led by their representative Heege, have shown a strong sense of unity throughout the process. They have been putting in several hours of work each day until Wednesday to ensure the school walls are restored to their original condition.

Initially, the estimated cost of the cleaning process was 9,000 euros. However, due to the students' diligent work and the assistance of the professionals, the cost has decreased to 7,000 euros. The remaining cost difference will be covered by the class fund and donations collected at the graduation ball.

In an attempt to cover the initial costs, student representative Heege started a GoFundMe campaign. By Monday, 4,785 euros had been raised, but the campaign has since been discontinued as the students are now focusing on the clean-up process.

Despite the challenges, the school management and caretaker have reached a good agreement with the students and the city. The incident has undoubtedly been a learning experience for the graduating class, teaching them the importance of responsibility and the consequences of their actions.

As the clean-up process nears completion, the students of Eugen-Bolz-Gymnasium in Rottenburg are demonstrating their commitment to making things right and ensuring their school remains a place of learning and growth for future generations.
