Since February, a lively mix of 4 ambitious boys and 4 creative girls, aged 13 to 14, have been crafting, gluing, and painting away in the torch-hall at Neusser Weyhe on a weekly basis. The "Gute Freunde" hunting group, as well as the aforementioned teachers, support these young enthusiasts wholeheartedly. "We're actually the 'Thick Friends'," chuckles Bulle Haeffs, expressing admiration for the group's vibrant creativity. They decided to label their project as the "Lighthouse-Project," inspired by the distinct, staircase-like tower reminiscent of a lighthouse that's part of the school building on Jostenallee. "These kids are brimming with ideas, heart, and soul," Bulle exclaims in awe, celebrating the diversity of such a fantastic group!
"More than just a project, this initiative serves as a rallying cry to the citizens of Furth to actively participate in the festival," explains brotherhood press spokesman Thomas Loebelt. The folk and home festival isn't simply about shooting, but about community, diversity, and unity.
