ISACA is a global association for IT governance, risk management, and cybersecurity professionals. The organisation's mission is to advance trust in technology and equip digital trust professionals for the future. This mission is increasingly important in the face of unprecedented threats such as the rapid evolution and weaponization of AI, the normalization of data breaches, and a concerning shortage of experienced cybersecurity professionals.

As an affiliate member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, Norton also emphasises the need for continuous education and certification to develop skills and talent. He believes that this is crucial in ensuring opportunities for future generations of security professionals.

In addition to his professional roles, Norton is a regular industry speaker and media commentator on cybersecurity issues. His expertise will further strengthen ISACA's mission and contribute to its ongoing efforts to build a more secure digital world.

Norton also highlights the importance of ISACA's local chapters in building relationships and providing forums for industry updates, advocacy, learning, and knowledge transfer. He believes that these local chapters play a vital role in fostering a community of professionals dedicated to advancing trust in technology.

With Norton's appointment, ISACA continues to strengthen its leadership and commitment to cybersecurity. His extensive experience and dedication to the field will undoubtedly contribute to the organisation's ongoing success in equipping digital trust professionals for the future.
