Mark Calendars for Oct 3: SAFE Impact Showcase Presents Innovative Climate-Smart Agri Solutions
Mark your calendars for October 3, 2025, at 2:00 PM (GMT+8), as the SAFE Impact Showcase is set to take place via Zoom. This event invites funders, investors, and stakeholders to register and witness the presentation of innovative, community-driven, climate-smart agriculture solutions from Laos, Timor-Leste, and the Philippines.
The SAFE Impact Showcase is the culmination of the Sustainable Agriculture and Food Security Enhancement (SAFE) Acceleration Program, implemented by Villgro Philippines in partnership with SEARCA. Over the past three months, the program has equipped early-stage enterprises to design sustainable, scalable business models addressing food security, climate resilience, and empowerment of marginalized groups. Three enterprises will present their solutions: The Green from Laos, which supports rural and women-led farms with poultry production, veterinary services, and cold-chain solutions; Sansli Green from Timor-Leste, connecting smallholder farmers to markets and school meal programs while promoting organic practices and women's leadership; and Katuparan Producers Cooperative from the Philippines, producing sustainable pet food and therapeutic foods from kamote, peanuts, and cacao, boosting farmer incomes and promoting regenerative agriculture. Priya Thachadi, Co-founder and CEO of Villgro Philippines, emphasizes the importance of treating small producers as 'builders of the future, not beneficiaries' for real transformation in food systems.
The SAFE Impact Showcase, held on October 3, 2025, will highlight how grassroots innovation can build resilience against food insecurity and climate change in Southeast Asia. Register now to witness these innovative solutions and support agritech and agri-enterprises in accessing financial resources and partnerships.
