The ADFC Düsseldorf, a leading advocate for cycling in Germany, is set to expand its educational offerings for cyclists. Erwin Lautwein, the head of continuing education at the organisation, has announced plans to offer in-person repair, maintenance, and tuning courses for cyclists from September or October.

Since launching the continuing education initiative for cyclists in January, the programme has seen a significant increase in interest. Participants have come from all over North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) and other federal states, indicating a growing demand for such courses.

These in-person courses will involve hands-on work on one's own bicycle, providing cyclists with practical skills to improve their bicycles' safety, reduce personal mistakes, and promote safer and more foresighted cycling.

The courses are designed to equip cyclists with improved competencies in repair, maintenance, and tuning, which can make bicycles safer and lead to more consideration, tolerance, and safety on the roads. This, in turn, is expected to reduce accidents and conflicts with other road users.

The continuing education initiative is open to both the public and ADFC Düsseldorf members. The initiative has so far conducted nine successful online events, but with the easing of group event restrictions, the ADFC Düsseldorf is likely to offer additional repair and maintenance courses beyond the online events.

For more information about the continuing education initiative for cyclists, interested parties can contact the ADFC Düsseldorf at 0211 15835150. The initiative aims to provide more fun and fewer breakdowns while cycling, higher road safety, and better control of one's own bicycle, as well as more bicycles in better technical condition.

  1. As the ADFC Düsseldorf expands its educational offerings for cyclists, some new courses focused on lifestyle, learning, education-and-self-development, and cycling are planned to start from September or October.
  2. In addition to the practical skills learned in the in-person courses for cyclists, participants will also gain increased competencies in repair, maintenance, and tuning, which can lead to a safer, more considerate, and accident-free lifestyle on the roads.
