NDC Webinar Series Explores Resource Mobilisation for NDC Implementation

The NDC Webinar series, a knowledge-sharing platform, recently hosted its fourth session, 'Resource Mobilisation for NDC Implementation', on 31 May 2023. This webinar, supported by the Climate Action Enhancement Package (CAEP) and the Partnership Action Fund (PAF), shared experiences from Grenada's strategies for mobilising resources to implement its Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs).

The webinar series, initiated by the NDC Partnership, aims to replicate successful climate action projects across countries. The first webinar, held on 17 February 2022, focused on climate finance mapping and strategy implementation in Belize and Zambia. The second, on 8 March 2022, highlighted the importance of gender integration in NDCs. The third, on 12 April 2022, discussed climate budget tagging and private sector engagement in Eswatini and Jamaica.

Since 2021, the NDC Partnership Secretariat has delivered targeted support for NDC enhancement and implementation in five member countries: Belize, Eswatini, Grenada, Jamaica, and Zambia. The upcoming fifth webinar, scheduled for 5 March 2024, will focus on making National Climate Funds more inclusive and gender-responsive.

The NDC Webinar series continues to provide valuable insights and support for countries committed to improving and implementing their NDCs. The upcoming webinar, like its predecessors, promises to offer practical guidance for effective climate action.
