The city of Gütersloh is welcoming 45 new career starters this September. Mayor Matthias Trepper addressed the administration, welcoming the newcomers as part of a team of over 1,700 employees.
Trepper emphasized the importance of thorough and qualified training for the new career starters. The induction week will allow the new starters to learn about the city administration and its areas of responsibility, receive important information for their daily work, and make initial contacts with each other.
The new career starters include ten dual students in the Bachelor of Laws (General Administrative Service), two students in the Bachelor of Arts (Administrative Informatics), three trainees for administrative professionals, and one specialist in system integration.
In addition to the administrative and IT trainees, this year has also seen career starters in the education, rescue, and fire services begin their training with the city of Gütersloh. In September 2025, 45 individuals are joining the city's workforce as career starters.
Moreover, in 2025, the City of Gütersloh began the careers of 21 new trainees and interns in the field of education. This includes 10 starting a practice-integrated Ausbildung (vocational training) as educators, 6 commencing recognition internships, and 5 starting practice-integrated training as child carers. These newcomers join the city's largest specialist area focused on early childhood education and care.
Trepper congratulated the new career starters for succeeding in a strong field of applicants. He noted that September 2025 marks the entry of 45 young individuals into the city's career sector, and that in total, 45 young people are starting their careers with the city of Gütersloh this year.
These new career starters are an important addition to the city's workforce, and their contributions will be vital in continuing to serve the citizens of Gütersloh effectively.
