Opening of a Rehabilitation Center for Special Needs Individuals in Nur-Sultan (Astana)
In the heart of Astana, the capital city of Kazakhstan, the "Baqytty Shanyrak" Public Fund has opened a second educational-rehabilitation centre for children with special needs and their families. The centre, located on Dukenuly Street, was officially unveiled at a ceremony attended by notable figures such as Nurdaulet Almukhanov, head of the city's internal policy department, Bayan Toikebaeva, and Natalia Semenenko, among others.
The new centre, which operates seven days a week, is designed to cater to the unique needs of children with special needs and their families, offering a comprehensive range of services. These services include specialized education tailored to individual learning abilities, speech therapy and language development, physical therapy and occupational therapy to improve motor skills, psychological support and counseling, social integration activities, parental guidance and training, and more.
In addition to these services, the centre also boasts a sewing room, a special dining hall, and facilities for play and health exercises, massage, musical and art exhibitions. The "Baqytty Shanyrak" Public Fund, which has been caring for 2876 children with special needs, has expanded its reach to 1092 families with the opening of this new centre. Nurdaulet Almukhanov delivered a welcoming speech, led the opening ceremony, and cut the ribbon, officially inaugurating the new centre.
