Promoting Web Utilization Advocacy Initiated in the Realm of Education by the Commission
On Tuesday, May 3, 2025, officers from the Lippe Public Safety Authority conducted a series of traffic checks around kindergartens and schools in the region. The aim of the "safe.mobility.life - Children in Focus" action day was to ensure the safety of children during the school run.
During the checks, approximately 400 vehicles, both cars and bicycles, were inspected. Two cases were identified where parents used their mobile phones during the school run, potentially distracting them from the road. Ten cars had child safety features but they were not being used, while fourteen cars were found to have non-functioning child safety features.
Seven-nine speeding offenses were recorded during the checks, with a driver clocked at 61 km/h in front of a daycare center. Two cases of running red lights were also recorded.
