School in Griesheim offers emergency driving lessons at Gerhart-Hauptmann school
The Hesse Police Headquarters, in collaboration with several institutions, recently hosted an event titled "Crash Course" at the Gerhart-Hauptmann School in Griesheim. The event, aimed at students in grades 12 and 13, focused on raising awareness about road safety for young drivers.
The event was moderated by the head of traffic prevention, Ralph Drexelius, and featured representatives from the "rescue chain" (fire department, emergency services, police, psychological support, and funeral homes) who shared their personal experiences with severe accidents. Real accident photos, videos, and film reports from relatives were shown between speeches, providing a stark reminder of the dangers of road traffic and the severe consequences of a serious accident.
The goal of the event was to educate students about the importance of road safety and the potential consequences of reckless driving. The "Crash Course" program used presentations of images, videos, and personal stories to illustrate these points effectively.
