In a recent visit to School No.26 and Gymnazia No.56 on August 4th, Tomsk Mayor Dmitry Makhina inspected the progress of repairs, but has yet to comment on the quality of the work done so far.

Photos of the repairs in both schools are available, showing renovated roofs and facades, but Makhina emphasizes the need for modern classrooms, comfortable toilets, and decent corridors as well.

The mayor has decided to prioritize quality over speed in completing repairs in some schools, suggesting that any remaining engineering or finishing work be completed during the first quarter, even if it means delaying the start of the academic year. However, he has not specified which schools will require additional work to be completed during this period.

Makhina acknowledges the efforts of teachers, school directors, and parents in completing internal cosmetic works in time for the start of the academic year. He appreciates their dedication but notes that sometimes this might compromise quality.

Additional funds from the city budget will be allocated for repairs in classrooms, corridors, and toilets. The mayor has not mentioned any changes in the allocation of funds for these repairs.

It is worth noting that all capital repairs in the schools under the national project 'Modernization of Education Systems' have been completed. The mayor's decision does not affect the completion of these repairs.

Makhina believes it is better to wait for a completely renovated school before returning to class, despite the eagerness of children and teachers. He also noted that returning children to schools after partial capital repairs is incorrect.

For the latest updates on the status and timeline of school repairs funding in Tomsk, it is recommended to check official Tomsk regional government or education department announcements directly. Such local infrastructure funding details are often released through regional channels rather than broad industrial or federal news.

Education-and-self-development necessitate a focus on modern classrooms, comfortable toilets, and decent corridors, as demonstrated by Tomsk Mayor Dmitry Makhina's priorities in completing repairs. The allocation of additional funds from the city budget will be directed towards improvements in these areas, showing a commitment to enhancing education-and-self-development opportunities in Tomsk's schools.
