Square Panda Invests $50M in India for Localized ECCE Programs
Square Panda, a leading innovator in Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) and educator empowerment programs, has set its sights on India. With a USD 50 million investment over three years, the company aims to build a dual-language system tailored to the country's unique requirements, as envisioned by Ashish Jhalani, Global CMO and MD, Square Panda India.
The investment will focus on developing regional language learning content, particularly in Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, and other local languages. This strategy aligns with the company's goal to ensure better accessibility and deeper local engagement in education. Andre Agassi, Chairman and Founder of The Andre Agassi Foundation for Education and Chairman of Board, Square Panda, sees a significant role for Square Panda in India's New Education Policy.
Square Panda India is already making strides with its early learning initiative, 'Aarambh', implemented in Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, and Uttar Pradesh. The company offers a powerful edtech platform to ensure foundational literacy and numeracy across India. By embracing greater contextualisation, localisation, and building conversational skills, Square Panda seeks to suit the existing education ecosystem alongside innovative technologies.
With a commitment to impacting millions of children and educators across India, Square Panda's investment aims to strengthen capabilities in contextualising and localising content for diverse Indian children and teachers. This aligns with the company's mission to contribute to the 'AatmaNirbhar Bharat Abhiyan', fostering self-reliance and empowerment through education.
