Technician Position in Field Services, Job Level II

Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc. (MEPPI), a leading player in the North American power systems, rail transportation, and large visual display markets, is seeking a Field Service Technician II. This position is based in Boston, MA and offers a comprehensive benefits package.

The ideal candidate should hold an associate degree in Electrical, Electronics, or a related technical field, with 4 years of experience in troubleshooting and repairing technical, electrical, or electronic products. They should also have advanced interpersonal and presentation skills, basic understanding of communication and networking protocols, and advanced computer skills.

Technical expertise in Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) products, services, and peripherals is essential, along with certifications in OSHA-10 Construction and NFPA-70E. The candidate should also have advanced problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Key responsibilities of the role include providing comprehensive service support for MEPPI equipment, demonstrating a customer service model consistently, communicating effectively with service advisors and customers, documenting technical and customer information accurately, and submitting detailed trip and expense reports promptly.

The technician will also be expected to continuously learn new technologies and equipment designs, identify opportunities to improve customer processes and sales potential, assist in training new technicians and customer personnel, and comply with all safety policies and procedures.

The role involves extensive travel, approximately 75% of the time, to customer sites. The position is full-time and on-call, with a focus on maintaining professional relationships and providing excellent technical support to customers in the Boston, MA area.
