Revamped Recap: Slamm Tech & AmaliTech Team Up for Tech Talent Boom in Ghana
Slamm Technologies, an international IT powerhouse, and AmaliTech Ghana, a subsidiary of the German-based AmaliTech, have forged a partnership to revolutionize the tech landscape for young Ghanaians. The deal, sealed by a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), aims to equip young minds and bridge the digital skills gap by focusing on three key areas: upskilling in web and software development, mentorship programs, and employment opportunities.
Prince Carl Tuffuor Frimpong, Head of IT Training Support and Services at Slamm Technologies, emphasized the initiative's goal to provide Ghanaian youth with valuable employment opportunities and industry experience in technology. Slamm Technologies will facilitate connections between its graduates and digital and non-digital programs offered by AmaliTech. These programs are tailored to teach participants the skills needed to thrive as freelancers or secure excellent job opportunities upon training completion.
Mr. Frimpong believes this partnership is crucial for Slamm Technologies' contribution to Ghana's rapidly growing tech industry and the nation's overall economic growth.
On AmaliTech's side, the Director of Operations, Matthew Opoku-Darkwa, highlighted the need to train more young people, particularly women, in the digital sphere. AmaliTech views Slamm Technologies as an ideal partner to support the recruitment of tech-savvy individuals and women into their service center.
The collaboration aims to encourage increased participation in the tech sector, preparing students for both local and international job markets.
Cinzia Amartei, Executive Secretary at Slamm Technologies, detailed the opportunities that graduates of the Software Development program would have.
