Free Qualification Program for Civic Engagement in Arnsberg

In an effort to promote civic engagement and provide opportunities for citizens to contribute to their community, the Arnsberg Civic Engagement Promotion is offering a free qualification program in 2026. This program, conducted in cooperation with the Volkshochschule (VHS) Arnsberg, is known as the "SeniorTrainer:in" training and is open to all interested individuals.

The qualification program aims to present offers, pick up ideas, and support citizens in implementing these ideas into civic projects. It is designed for those looking to engage voluntarily and provides an entry point into civic engagement. The program does not have a specified location mentioned in the text, but interested individuals can contact the Arnsberg Civic Engagement Promotion at Tel. 02932 201 1402 for more information and registration.

Each course will be held from Tuesday to Thursday, running from 10:00 to 16:00. The program will run for three days each in February, March, and April 2026. Specific dates for the courses are February 3-5, March 3-5, and April 14-16, 2026.

The goals of the qualification program include discovering new things, taking on new tasks, using life experience and competencies, and sharing gained knowledge with others. Interested individuals should possess openness to new things, social competence, communication skills, and an interest in civic engagement.

Speakers Claudia Tölle and Isabel Bornemann will address participants' strengths, unfulfilled wishes, and hidden competencies during the program. Isabel Bornemann is the contact person at the Arnsberg Civic Engagement Promotion for the program.

The program is designed for individuals seeking meaningful ways to contribute to society. After leaving a job or an active family phase, many people may find the qualification program helpful in discovering new opportunities and ways to contribute to society.

By participating in this program, citizens of Arnsberg can gain the skills and confidence needed to take on civic engagement projects, while also learning from and sharing experiences with others. For more information and to register, contact the Arnsberg Civic Engagement Promotion at Tel. 02932 201 1402.
