Title: Daring Connections: Dubai's $1-billion Skyscrapers to Feature Unprecedented Rooftop Pools
The upcoming Regent Residences Dubai, projected to cost a hefty $1 billion and slated for completion in 2027, boasts 63 high-end residences. Among these, the 35,000-square-foot penthouse truly stands out, featuring six bedrooms, a gym, and an exclusive private elevator.
The penthouse gains an edge over the other residences, each occupying an entire floor and boasting private swimming terraces and access to a 82-foot indoor lap pool, by offering access to an extraordinary 43-foot infinity sky pool. This awe-inspiring feature bridges the two towers, providing an unmatched luxury experience for its fortunate inhabitants.
As for the architects behind this masterpiece, Foster + Partners pride themselves on drawing inspiration from "cascading water." In line with this, the staggered pool terraces protrude from the towers' facades, creating a truly captivating scene. The design team duly describes this as an exclusive "ultra-penthouse," promising an unparalleled sense of exclusivity.
Though the developers, Sankari Properties and IHG Hotels & Resorts, have kept tight-lipped about the exact cost of the ultra-penthouse, the other luxury apartments start at an eye-popping $10 million each. In addition to these high-end residences, the Regent Residences Dubai will also feature 10 unique "water villas" on the marina.

Residents will appreciate a slew of amenities, such as tennis and panel courts, outdoor lounges, a private cinema, and a virtual golf simulator. The base of the towers will be home to open green spaces, restaurants, and retail outlets.
The Regent Residences Dubai is set to become a key feature of the Marasi Marina neighborhood's major overhaul in Business Bay, part of the city's burgeoning development along Dubai Creek, south of its downtown area. This will be the first Regent Residences property to grace the Middle East.
The two towers share a similar design language to emphasize unity, though they exhibit their own distinct identities. The project's "dynamic twisting form and articulated facade" set the stage for it to become a "distinctive new addition" to Dubai, according to Gerard Evenden, Foster + Partners' studio head.

Foster + Partners, helmed by Norman Foster – a renowned architect and recipient of the Pritzker Price – has left an indelible mark on the United Arab Emirates with projects like the 80-story Dubai skyscraper, The Index, and the House of Wisdom, a library and culture center in Sharjah. Upcoming initiatives include the sculptural Zayed National Museum serving as the centerpiece of Abu Dhabi's Saadiyat Island Cultural District, due for completion later this year.
Reminding us that sky pools aren't a novelty, London's see-through Sky Pool spans across two residential towers' 10th stories. The British capital's Nine Elms neighborhood welcomed this incredible structure in 2021.
The architectural style of Regent Residences Dubai is inspired by "cascading water," as demonstrated by the staggered pool terraces protruding from the towers' facades. The upcoming ultra-penthouse, while its price remains undisclosed, is expected to follow the project's distinct "dynamic twisting form and articulated facade," ensuring it aligns with the overall architecture style.
