At the commencement of the 2023/24 winter academic term, the College of Pforzheim boasts a student body of 6,000, distributed across 29 Bachelor's and 20 Master's degree programs.

University of Pforzheim Kicks Off Winter Semester 2023/24 with Exciting Opportunities

The University of Pforzheim welcomed over 6,000 students to the start of the winter semester 2023/24, including 1,000 new bachelor students and around 350 master students. The event took place in the Walter-Witzenmann Hall.

University President Professor Dr. Ulrich Jautz warmly welcomed the new students and emphasized the diverse development opportunities available at the University of Pforzheim. He highlighted the advantages of studying in Goldstadt Pforzheim and encouraged students to consider a semester abroad for future career development.

During the event, students were introduced to numerous student initiatives and committees, offering them opportunities to work together on project work, develop new products, or engage in student initiatives across faculties.

One of the highlights of the event was the presentation of a racing vehicle by the "Rennschmiede", a student team participating in the "Formula Student", a racing series of its own. The team has built their own electric racing car, attracting the attention of many new students during the event.

In addition to academic opportunities, the University of Pforzheim is involved in "Ornamenta 2024", a cultural event with numerous happenings, galas, symposia, and more throughout the region.

While specific details for the winter semester 2023/24 were not provided, students can expect a variety of cultural events like festive celebrations and recreational activities. Participation in student support opportunities such as cultural vouchers is also a standard offering.
