Urban Planning Division of the "A101" GK has been initiated at VSE National Research University
In a bid to create a thriving, million-strong city with top-notch infrastructure in Moscow's New Territories, the A101 Group, a key player in the construction and development sector, is joining forces with the Higher School of Economics (HSE) University.
The collaboration will centre on comprehensive city development, with regular expert public events involving industry representatives to discuss and shape the vision for the new city. According to Dmitry Tsvetov, the director of development at the A101 Group, fostering good neighbourly relations and a vibrant community is of utmost importance.
Interdisciplinary research in the field of comprehensive city development, particularly in Moscow's New Territories, will be a key focus. The A101 Group is establishing a basic department at the A.A. Vysokovsky Higher School of Urbanism within HSE University, where researchers and students will work together to address the challenges and opportunities of urban development.
Dmitry Tsvetov emphasises that the A101 Group sees the magnitude of the tasks ahead and is counting on the Higher School of Economics for support. Mikhail Y. Blinkin, associated with HSE University, mentions New Moscow as a potential centre of attraction, which could involve partnerships like the one with A101 Group to enhance urban development and infrastructure.
The new city will offer undergraduate and graduate-level courses, as well as support projects for student professional orientation. An innovative Urban School program for schoolchildren will be developed, offering career-oriented events, additional education courses, and internships at the A101 Group.
Residents of districts developed by GK "A101" have shown a strong sense of community, with residents having three times as many friends as in similar complexes, according to Dmitry Tsvetov. The potential of these connections among residents is vast, and the A101 Group's goal is to help residents spend more time with neighbours, attend cultural and educational events, and engage in sports together, near their homes.
By working together, the A101 Group and HSE University aim to create a city that encourages connections, fosters a sense of community, and provides opportunities for people to communicate, spend time together, engage in sports or hobbies, and unite by interests.
