BAC Education Group and Music4Good 2.0: A Concert for Social Impact
The BAC Education Group, a leading provider of world-class education, is making waves in the realm of social responsibility. With a strong focus on education, community aid, and charity, the group is leaving a lasting impact through various initiatives. One such event is the Music4Good 2.0 concert, fully sponsored by BAC Education Group and organised by Uplift.
The Music4Good 2.0 concert, using music as a medium for social change, aims to raise funds and awareness for several flagship community and educational initiatives. Among these are GiveBack.my, SPMFlix, FreeMakan, The Make It Right Movement (MIRM), and Uplift itself.
GiveBack.my, for instance, has distributed over RM100 million in aid through more than 200 partner organisations. SPMFlix, Malaysia’s largest free learning platform, offers over 9,000 lessons to benefit more than 200,000 students. FreeMakan, a food bank initiative, has supported 27,000 families with RM1.7 million raised. The Make It Right Movement supports over 200 charity and CSR projects annually, enabling students, staff, and the public to volunteer and foster community impact.
Uplift, a key beneficiary of the Music4Good 2.0 concert, is a non-profit organisation that offers vital services such as feeding, sterilisation, healthcare, and rehoming for stray dogs. Its mission is to establish a multi-purpose facility that supports sheltering, rehabilitation, adoption, and education.
Another organisation supported by BAC Education Group is The Society for the Severely Mentally Handicapped (SSMH), which has been providing therapy, care, and support to children with severe mental and physical disabilities for 40 years. Persatuan OKU Sentral, an organisation that champions the rights and empowerment of persons with disabilities, is also a recipient of BAC Education Group's support.
The Music4Good 2.0 concert features a band called The Polymaths, which is associated with the group’s efforts in social impact through music. The event also includes a veteran performer, Azlan Ahmad Shaharbi, and musicians such as Sudesh Kumar Nair (bassist and CEO of Baycom Malaysia), Siva Ramanathan (drummer, fintech leader, and Partner, Chief Growth & Corporate Officer at Ksher), and Sundara Raj Ramamurthy (guitarist, Chief Digital Officer at PwC Malaysia and Vietnam, leading AI and digital transformation initiatives).
The details for the Music4Good 2.0 Uplift event are yet to be announced. However, table reservations for 10 pax with dinner are available at this link. Donations of RM250 and above come with tax-exemption receipts.
